Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU position at an academic medical center in Albany, NY, requiring prior travel experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Day shift position, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, in a Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Epic EMR required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• All certifications must be from AHA or RQI
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU staff experience required, specifically with trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
• Trauma Level 1 experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• US Social Security Number required
• Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal and religious declinations will not be accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs required
• A competency test must be completed within 24 hours of submission; an up-to-date email address is required
• Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• Any time off requests must be submitted at the time of consideration
• More than 3 call-outs in a 13-week contract period may result in termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Travel pairs are not accepted for this position
