  • Patient population includes infectious disease, isolation, COVID, MRSA, C-Diff, and other complex diagnoses
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5–6, or 1:4 for COVID patients; unit is typically staffed with 3–4 RNs per shift
  • 2 CNAs are on the unit per shift
  • Common IV medications include Heparin, antibiotics, and other standard Med/Surg drips; no cardiac drips are titrated
  • No ventilators on the unit; patients may require CPAP, BiPAP, or high-flow oxygen managed by respiratory therapy
  • Remote telemetry monitored from a third-floor unit with desk monitors; RNs are not required to read or interpret strips
  • A Charge Nurse is available 24/7; night charge nurses carry a full patient assignment

  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Strong knowledge of Med/Surg, infectious disease, and isolation precautions required
