Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring at least 2 years of experience and ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications, with night shifts in a collaborative hospital setting.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital
• Patient population includes medical/surgical and short stay cases
• Patient ratios are 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Telemetry experience is preferred
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30–07:00
• Floating required to 2W, CDU, and ARU

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Med/Surg and short stay experience required
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including testing for marijuana — a positive result will result in automatic cancellation with no exceptions
• CBD products should also be avoided prior to the onsite drug screen
• Located in Kerrville, TX — known as Texas's wine country, approximately 1 hour from San Antonio
