Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in New Mexico, requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and prior travel assignment history.
Details
- ICU position within a hospital setting in Clovis, NM
- 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- Fast-paced, team-oriented critical care environment
- Epic EMR used on-site; prior experience preferred but training provided
- Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required
Requirements
- Active NM or Compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA, AHSI, or ARC), ACLS (AHA, AHSI, or ARC), and NIHSS
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required
- Minimum 2 years of current ICU experience required
- At least one prior 13-week travel assignment required
- Must be a team player, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Additional Information
- Candidates must pass an on-site Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test, which is administered during the first day of orientation; one retest opportunity is allowed, but a second failure will result in contract cancellation
- Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individualized patient care, as well as administering medications and treatments per physician orders or standard protocols
- Coordinates care through collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Provides clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
- Identifies patient and family education and discharge needs throughout the episode of care
- Former permanent staff of this health system must wait one year before being considered as a traveler
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
