Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and a TN or Compact RN license.
Details
- Work setting is a short-term acute care hospital with a Level I Trauma Center designation
- Emergency Department (ER) unit
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Weekend rotation required as needed
- Block scheduling is not accommodated, though a weekend block schedule may be considered during interview
- On-call required as needed
- Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur on a rare basis
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license in Tennessee (TN) or a valid Compact (NLC) license — no pending licensure accepted
- Minimum 2 years of recent ED/ER nursing experience required
- Level I Trauma Center experience required
- Large hospital experience preferred
- ADN or higher required (BSN not required for this position)
- BLS certification required
- At least one completed prior travel assignment required — first-time travelers are not eligible (unless candidate has 3+ years of recent experience)
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- Vaccination records required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility — local candidates are strictly not accepted
- Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — RTO requests submitted after an offer is made will not be considered
- If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be covered
- If any certifications are set to expire during the assignment, a renewal plan should be clearly noted
