Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience and active NMTCB or ARRT/NM certification for a travel assignment in Butte, MT.
Details
- Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
- No weekends and no on-call requirements
- Epic EMR used for charting
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience required
- Active NMTCB or ARRT/NM certification required
- BLS certification required — must be issued by the American Heart Association and must not expire prior to assignment start
- License required if applicable
- Proficiency with radiation safety measures (ALARA), radioisotope preparation and administration, sterile technique, and infection prevention
- Competency with Epic EMR
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn role-specific applications
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills within a multi-disciplinary team
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures including patient positioning, immobilization, and image quality evaluation per Radiologist specifications
- Prepare and administer radioisotopes according to Radiologist protocol and follow ALARA radiation safety measures
- Maintain accurate records of radioisotope receipts, use, storage, and disposal in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Coordinate Nuclear Medicine examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care
- Submit required images and clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation
- A personal radiation monitoring dosimeter (badge) is required for this assignment; use of an existing badge from a prior employer or assignment is encouraged to preserve an accurate exposure history
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
