Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist specializing in Maternal Fetal Medicine with at least 1-2 years of OB/GYN high-risk diagnostic ultrasound experience and required ARDMS OB/GYN certification.
Details
- Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) outpatient unit setting
- Procedures include specialized obstetric, fetal, and gynecologic diagnostic ultrasound exams, fetal anatomy scans, first trimester nuchal translucency (NT), biophysical profiles, umbilical artery and MCA dopplers, 3D/4D imaging, amniocentesis assistance, chorionic villus sampling, umbilical blood transfusions, and nonstress testing
- Pelvic and endovaginal ultrasound, fetal echocardiography experience strongly preferred
- Charting via Cerner EMR
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
- No floating, call, weekends, or holidays
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of OB/GYN high-risk diagnostic ultrasound experience; 2 years preferred with comprehensive MFM procedural exposure
- ARRT or RDMS registration required, or must obtain within one year of hire
- ARDMS OB/GYN (RDMS OB/GYN) certification required
- NT (Nuchal Translucency) certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire
- Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers required
- Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited radiology technology program or a CAAHEP/JRCDMS-accredited Medical Sonography program
- Active SC or compact state license required if applicable
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Performs specialized obstetric, fetal, and gynecologic ultrasound examinations to detect fetal and gynecologic anomalies, evaluate fetal anatomy, and assist with invasive diagnostic or surgical procedures
- Prepares accurate images and reports in a timely manner to facilitate physician interpretation and quality patient care
- Performs fetal monitoring tests and documents appropriate images per department protocols
- Educates and communicates with patients and families in high-anxiety clinical settings, providing supportive patient care
- Maintains practice standards per ASRT Sonography Practice Standards and AIUM accreditation guidelines
- Travelers who have been on assignment at this facility may remain for up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
- May be asked to float to a nearby sister hospital
