Description

American Traveler is hiring a CA-licensed RN for a Step Down/Progressive Telemetry Unit position requiring PCU and telemetry experience, Cerner proficiency, and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

  • Progressive Telemetry/Step Down unit in an acute care hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
  • PCU and telemetry patient population
  • Cerner EMR used; experience required

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience required
  • Telemetry experience required
  • At least 1 year of full-time equivalent experience in a Step Down/PCU specialty within the past 2 years
  • Cerner EMR experience required
  • At least 1 supervisory, director, or manager reference from within the past year on the relevant unit; a second reference from within the past 2 years (charge nurse, co-worker, or educator accepted)
  • Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained

Additional Information

  • No RTO requests permitted within the first 2 weeks of the assignment; all RTO must be declared at time of initial consideration and cannot be changed once submitted
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
  • Candidates who have previously been employed by the facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • A pass/fail EKG exam is required (up to 3 attempts allowed)
  • No blocked scheduling or self-scheduling
  • First-time travelers should inquire about eligibility for this position
