Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a 13-week day shift travel contract at a freestanding emergency facility in South Carolina, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of ER experience.

Details

  • Freestanding ER facility with 14 rooms including a dedicated Resuscitation Room
  • Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
  • Patient ratio of 1:5
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call or floating requirements
  • Charting is performed in Epic (experience required)
  • Free parking on site

Requirements

  • Active SC RN license or Compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must have an active license prior to start
  • Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
  • 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Additional Information

  • Completion of online orientation modules is required prior to start (approximately 4 hours)
  • Royal blue scrubs required
  • July 4th is a required workday for this assignment
  • Candidates are encouraged to be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak hurricane activity falls in August and September
  • All requested time off must be submitted prior to acceptance of the offer; approval is based on facility needs
  • Candidates who have previously worked as permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
  • Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, but local candidates will be considered
