Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a hospital-based outpatient role with the ability to cross-cover inpatient rehab settings.
Details
- Hospital-based outpatient OT setting with potential crossover to inpatient rehab
- Ideal candidate can cover both outpatient and inpatient rehab (primarily inpatient rehab) settings, including weekend inpatient coverage on a rotating basis
- Acceptable candidate works skilled outpatient OT Monday–Friday in the hospital-based outpatient setting
- Outpatient patient population includes neurological, orthopedic/hand, and pediatric cases
- Rotating schedule: Week 1 includes Sunday inpatient coverage (7:00–15:30) and Monday–Thursday outpatient (9:00–17:30); Week 2 is Monday–Friday outpatient (9:00–17:30, Friday 8:00–16:30)
- Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule
- Epic EMR — experience required
Requirements
- Active OT license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of OT experience required
- Acute care outpatient experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration
Additional Information
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; excessive time-off requests may impact consideration
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be disclosed upfront, as post-offer requests may be denied
