Description
American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with a minimum of 3 years of acute hospital experience and ARDMS certifications in AB, OB, and RVT for a 13-week travel assignment in Hawaii.
Details
- Imaging department position within an acute care hospital setting
- Modalities include general ultrasound (abdominal/OB/small parts) and vascular technology
- Procedures include abdominal imaging (aorta, IVC, liver/biliary, pancreas, spleen, renal), GYN (transvaginal, adult and pediatric), OB (all trimesters, amniocentesis, biophysical profile, IUGR), neonatal (congenital anomalies, neonatal head), superficial structures (breast, thyroid, scrotum/testes, focal masses), and vascular studies (carotid duplex, upper/lower extremity arterial and venous duplex, segmental pressure studies)
- Interventional procedures include aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative exams
- Equipment used includes Canon i700 ultrasound system, Fuji Synapse PACS, and Meditech EMR
- Variable shift schedule with on-call requirements as appropriate
- Floating to other units or departments may be required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting
- ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB), OB/GYN (OB), and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) required
- Active AHA BLS required
- Competency in general abdominal, OB, GYN, neonatal, superficial structures, and vascular ultrasound required
- Experience with interventional ultrasound procedures (aspirations, biopsies, drainage, intraoperative) required
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of assignment; this appointment is held at the facility's Employee Health office and attendance is mandatory
- Plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start date to attend the Friday morning Employee Health appointment
- Personal scrubs and professional healthcare attire required
