Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) night shift position at a cardiovascular-focused heart hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and cardiovascular nursing background.
Details
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located within a heart hospital, with 55 beds on the unit
- Cardiovascular patient population with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
- Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
- Weekends required on a rotating, as-needed basis
- Floating to other units is required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis
- Epic charting experience preferred
Requirements
- Active NM or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); CPI preferred
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years preferred
- Cardiovascular nursing experience required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
- Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted for this position
- No RTO will be approved during the first week of orientation; no more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved for the contract
- Scrub color: any color accepted, no logos
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
