Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel contract requiring multi-specialty surgical experience including Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology, with a day shift schedule and on-call responsibilities.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room of an acute care hospital setting
- Specialties include Orthopedic, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology procedures
- Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday with a rotating day off (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
- On-call responsibilities are required
- Charting is performed in Epic (experience preferred)
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 1.5 years of OR nursing experience required
- Experience in Orthopedic, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology surgical specialties required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Experience with Da Vinci robotic surgery, endovascular procedures, and ophthalmologic cases is a plus
- Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted — candidates must apply individually
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
- Up to 3 days of RTO may be approved; no RTO will be approved during the first week of orientation
- Candidates residing in the following TX counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
