Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience for a 13-week travel contract with day shifts and call requirements.

Details

  • Hospital-based cardiac cath lab setting
  • Day shifts, 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Weekend, overnight, and holiday call required
  • EMR: Epic (experience preferred); Pyxis also in use

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and ARRT or CCI (RCIS)
  • License required if applicable
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before applying as a traveler
  • Travel pairs or groups will not be considered
  • No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation
  • Royal blue scrubs are provided

Cons

High complexity patients and staff assignments are based on room numbers and not acuity. So you could have a heavy team while someone else has a light team. There was no teamwork
