Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at a cardiovascular-focused heart hospital, requiring cardiovascular experience and a NM or compact RN license.

Details

• PCU located within a dedicated Heart Hospital
• 55-bed unit with a 1:4 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Cardiovascular patient population
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
• Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekend requirement: rotating, as needed
• Floating is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis
• Epic EMR experience is preferred

Requirements

• Active NM or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• Cardiovascular nursing experience required
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Scrub color: any color is acceptable, but logo-free scrubs are required
• Travel pairs or groups will not be considered
