Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel position requiring at least 3 years of OR experience across a diverse surgical specialty mix including ortho/spine, neuro, vascular, thoracic, and GYN/urology.

Details

• Hospital Operating Room setting
• Diverse surgical caseload with specialties including ortho/total joint and trauma, neuro, GYN/urology, vascular, and thoracic
• Procedures include but are not limited to: bariatric, general, ENT, colorectal, gynecological, neurosurgical, orthopedic, plastic/reconstructive, urological, and vascular surgeries
• Da Vinci Xi Surgical System experience included in skill set
• Epic EMR preferred
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (11:00–21:30)
• On-call required
• Block scheduling will be accommodated when possible

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience required
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties required, including ortho/total joint, neuro, vascular, thoracic, and GYN/urology
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and IV placement required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• No pending licenses accepted
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Teal scrubs required
• Minimal RTO requested — all scheduling requests must be submitted upfront
• All time off and scheduling requests must be listed at the time of initial consideration
