Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU travel position working nights, with required ACLS and NIHSS certifications and a minimum of 1-2 years of ICU experience.
Details
- Neuro ICU setting within a Certified Stroke Center
- Patient ratio is 2:1
- Specialized procedures include EVD management, vent management, and stroke management
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 6:45 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- Block scheduling will be considered
- Float required to other ICU units
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
- Current certifications required at time of consideration: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant ICU nursing experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- No travel pairs or groups will be accepted
- RTO of no more than 3 days will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Responsibilities include coordinating patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, conducting discharge planning, and delegating tasks to unlicensed personnel in compliance with the Board of Nursing
