Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, prior travel experience, and night shift availability.
Details
- Work in the Medical ICU (MICU) of an acute care hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
- ICU patient population with a focus on neurological and ventilator-dependent patients
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license (standard or compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Proficiency in neuro nursing and comfort with ventilator management required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care and positive outcomes
- Perform discharge planning and patient/family education on illness management and injury prevention
- Navy scrubs required
- No travel pairs or groups accepted
- Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
- RTO is limited to no more than 3 days and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
- First-time travelers: refer to position details for eligibility
