Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in North Carolina, requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 733 staffed beds, operating as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within the hospital or to a sister campus may be required based on facility needs
• Charting performed in Epic

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position

• Pre-start orientation modules must be completed prior to the start date (estimated 4–10 hours)
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a general guideline of up to 4 days per contract; only 1 holiday may be approved
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning in a travel capacity
• Night shift travelers may extend up to twice before being required to leave for a minimum of 6 months before returning
