Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in North Carolina, requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and active Epic proficiency.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit serving an acute care patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Day shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including potential float to sister campus

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand; pending licenses are not accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position
• Pre-start orientation modules are required (approximately 4–10 hours) and must be completed before the assignment begins
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a general maximum of 4 days; only 1 holiday can be approved per assignment
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers on day shift may only extend once before needing to be away for at least 6 months before returning
