Description
American Traveler is hiring a MRI Technologist with 1+ year of experience, Epic proficiency, and active ARRT MR certification for a day shift contract position at a Level I Adult Trauma Center in Columbia, SC.
Details
- Work setting includes both adult acute care and outpatient MRI environments
- Patient population spans all age groups from neonates through older adults
- Imaging performed includes chest, abdomen, pelvis, head (with and without contrast), musculoskeletal trauma, and cervical/thoracic/lumbar spine
- Equipment includes GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba MRI scanners, as well as PACS
- Epic EMR is used; 1 year of experience required
- 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- Floating to other units or campuses may be required based on census, limited to qualified and trained areas only
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI technologist experience
- Active ARRT MR certification required; ARRT(R) also listed as required
- Active SC QRSA license required; license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
- Proficiency with contrast media preparation and administration, including starting peripheral IVs
- Experience with isolation precautions
- Must reside more than 50 miles from Prisma Health Richland Hospital to be eligible for this position
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
Additional Information
- Perform MRI imaging of chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, musculoskeletal, and spine with and without contrast across a broad patient population
- This is a regional community teaching medical center designated as a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with advanced cardiac, stroke, and vascular programs
- Candidates residing 50–99.9 miles from the facility may be accepted at a reduced travel pay rate; 100+ miles qualifies for the full travel rate
- RTO requests must be submitted at the time of booking and are subject to facility approval
- The facility reserves the right to call off up to 1 shift per 2-week period
