Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical-Surgical position in Alabama, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and proficiency in cardiac drips.

Details

• Hospital-based Medical-Surgical unit with orthopedic focus and Med/Surg telemetry overflow
• Patient ratio of 1:6–1:7
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 or 4x12 hours (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM); block scheduling may be accommodated
• Cardiac drip management required at times due to telemetry overflow, including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone

Requirements

• Active AL RN license or Compact RN license; pending AL license accepted if already applied
• Certifications required: BLS and NIHSS; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Proficiency with cardiac drips (Cardizem, Tridil, Amiodarone) required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

• Candidates must reside more than 90 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates who were previously permanent staff at this facility are ineligible for a travel assignment for 10 years following their last date of employment
• Navy blue scrubs required
