Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position on night shift at a Level II Trauma facility requiring prior PICU experience.
Details
- Work in a 15-bed Pediatric ICU (PICU) unit within a Level II Trauma facility
- Patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Uses general cardiac/respiratory (CR) monitoring equipment
- Documents in Meditech / CPN EMR
- 13-week assignment length
- Day shift staffed with Intensivist, RN, Desk Tech, RT, Dietary, and Case Management; night shift staffed with Intensivist, RN, and RT
Requirements
- Active KS or compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of current hospital PICU RN experience required
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- CRRT experience preferred
- APHON certification preferred
- Pediatric teaching hospital experience preferred
- Performs IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to pediatric ICU patients in a fast-paced, teaching hospital environment
- Candidates must work well under pressure and prioritize strong patient care experience
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
- First-time travelers may be considered
