Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring at least 1 year of recent acute care PICU experience and BLS/PALS certification.
Details
- Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) at a Level II Trauma children's hospital
- 15-bed unit staffed with Intensivist, RN, Desk Tech, RT, Dietary, and Case Management on day shift, and Intensivist, RN, and RT on night shift
- Patient ratio of 2:1
- Uses general CR monitoring equipment
- EMR: Meditech / CPN
- 13-week assignment with a 7A-7P shift schedule
Requirements
- Active KS or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and PALS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PICU RN experience required
- CRRT experience preferred
- APHON certification preferred
- Pediatric teaching hospital experience preferred
- Experience with IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients in a Level II Trauma teaching hospital setting
- Perform IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements as part of daily responsibilities
- Ideal candidates work well under pressure and thrive in a teaching hospital environment with a strong focus on patient care
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
