Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position requiring prior travel experience, Epic proficiency, and the ability to float across multiple ICU environments on day shifts.

Details

• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Float pool position covering multiple critical care environments including Neuro/Trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, PCCU, and ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• All certifications must be issued by AHA or RQI
• Level I trauma center experience preferred; experience floating across a variety of ICUs highly desired
• US Social Security Number required
• Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal and religious declinations are not accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates must be comfortable and competent caring for ICU patients across a variety of critical care settings
• A competency test must be completed within 24 hours of consideration; candidates receive two attempts to pass
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
• Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• More than 3 call-outs during the 13-week contract may result in termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this position
• First-time travelers are not eligible — prior travel experience is required
