Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract at a hospital-based surgical unit in Waterloo, Iowa, requiring call rotation coverage including weekends, weeknights, and holidays.
Details
- Work in the Surgery unit of a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule: 9:00 AM – 6:30 PM (36-hour weeks) or 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM; 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM for 40-hour weeks
- Weekend call required approximately every 4th–5th weekend
- Weeknight call required approximately every 1–2 weeks
- Holiday call rotation required
Requirements
- Active IA RN license or a Compact RN license recognized in Iowa
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Current NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of OR/surgical nursing experience required
Additional Information
- COVID vaccination card required for consideration
- License verification must be dated within 30 days of start date; NURSYS verification preferred for RNs
- Local candidates are accepted for this position in Iowa
