Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care facility in Missouri, requiring general surgery experience and call availability within 30 minutes of the hospital.

Details

Acute care hospital setting with a Level 3 Trauma designation
Operating Room unit with 7 OR suites, typically running 4-5 rooms simultaneously
Surgical specialties covered include general surgery, orthopedics, urology, plastics, podiatry, ENT, ophthalmology, and OB/GYN
Facility performs approximately 5,000 procedures per year
Day shift, 10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday (4x10s) with one random day off per week
On-call required approximately 4 times per month with possible weekend call
Charting system: MEDITECH 6.15

Requirements

Active Missouri RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
General surgery OR experience required
Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility to meet call response requirements
BSN not required

Additional Information

Candidate must be available for on-call shifts approximately 4 times per month, including possible weekends
A 6th OR bay is scheduled to open during the assignment period
