Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring post-op recovery experience and on-call availability across a rotating weekly schedule.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital PACU unit
• Patient population includes those recovering from general surgery and GI endoscopy procedures
• Schedule is 5x8-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
• On-call is shared between 2 RNs on a rotating weekly schedule: Mon, Tue, Fri–Sun one week, then Wed–Thu the following week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience recovering post-operative patients from general surgery and GI endoscopy procedures required
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 110 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana; a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions — candidates should avoid any substances that could cause a positive result, including CBD products, prior to and during the assignment
