Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an OR Float position at a prestigious academic medical center in Boston, MA, requiring an active MA RN license and experience in a rotating day/evening OR setting.
Details
- OR Float unit within a large academic hospital in Boston, MA
- Schedule options: 4x10 or 3x12 day/evening rotational and variable shifts
- 4x10 day shift hours: 7a–5:30p (M, T, Th, F) / 9a–7:30p (W); evening shift hours: 1p–11p
- 3x12 day shift hours: 7a–7:30p (M, T, Th, F) / 9a–9:30p (W); evening shift hours: 11a–11p
- Note: When 4x10 travelers are scheduled on weekends, they will be scheduled for 12-hour shifts, with adjusted shorter shifts during that same week to meet contracted hours
- Rotation includes 2 weeks of nights per contract
- Weekend shifts and on-call are required; includes at least 2 short calls per 4-week schedule
- EMR: Epic (charting)
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending MA licenses are not accepted
- All certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- BLS (AHA) required at minimum; include all required certs per specialty
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted
- Primary source verification of professional license required (both NURSYS and BON)
Additional Information
- Float OR position covering multiple OR settings within the health system
- Time and attendance tracked via UKG/Kronos
- No validated parking available at Boston location; public parking is available at candidate's expense ($17–$22/day); public transportation is encouraged
- Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible to apply
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
