Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient position at a critical access hospital in Kodiak, AK, with experience in multi-setting care including acute and SNF.

Details

• Outpatient-primary role with floating coverage to acute care and SNF as needed
• Critical Access Hospital with Level IV Trauma designation; facility includes acute care, long-term care, and outpatient services
• Therapy department treats patients of all ages across a broad range of diagnoses
• Specialty areas include wound care, lymphedema, pelvic floor, and pediatrics
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Weekend shifts required
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Active AK PT license required; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be willing to float between outpatient, acute care, and SNF settings
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required prior to operating the facility-provided vehicle
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• RTO is minimal; a limited number of days may be approved but should be disclosed upfront
• Block scheduling is available upon request
• Any color scrubs or business casual attire accepted
• Free parking on-site
• Facility provides a furnished 1-bedroom apartment and a vehicle for use during the assignment
• Pets are not permitted in facility-provided housing; additional family members must be approved by the facility
• The provided vehicle is for local use only and must not be taken off-road or outside a 30-mile radius of the facility
• Traveler is solely authorized to operate the facility-provided vehicle and must carry rental car insurance
• Housing and vehicle are available no earlier than 72 hours before contract start and must be vacated/returned within 24 hours of contract end
• Housing must be cleaned upon departure; vehicle must be returned clean and with a full tank of gas
