Description
American Traveler is hiring a Home Health Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week travel assignment serving the greater Boston metro area through a large academic health system.
Details
- Home health setting with patient visits conducted in patients' places of residence across the greater Boston metro area, including Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Cambridge, Charlestown, Chinatown, Fenway, Financial District, Kenmore, North End, Prudential, South Boston, South End, and West End
- Day shift schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Float position covering the North Region scheduling area
- Diverse patient population ranging from newborns to elderly adults, with conditions including cognitive and physical impairments resulting from injury, disease, or disability
- Travel required within the assigned geographic service area
- Epic used for charting
- UKG/Kronos used for timekeeping
Requirements
- Active MA OT license required; no conditional or pending licenses accepted — license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care, rehab, or home care as an OT
- 1 year of certified home care OT experience required
- Registered with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Occupational Therapy
- AHA-issued certifications required
- Proficiency with various computer software required; experience with handheld patient care devices preferred
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work with diverse patient populations
- Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing situations
- Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted
- 2 professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and allied health professionals to identify needs and coordinate care
- Manage technical, environmental, and financial resources as part of patient care delivery
- Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible to apply
- No validated parking is available at Boston locations; public transportation or public parking lots are available (daily parking rates typically range from $17–$22)
- Any requested time off (RTO) should be disclosed upfront during the consideration process
