Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position requiring Level IV NICU experience and night shift availability in Oklahoma City, OK.
Details
- Level IV NICU in a Level I Trauma hospital setting
- Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- Floating required throughout the children's units
- Neonatal patient population ranging from routine to complex cases
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard Oklahoma or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications required (AHA only): BLS and NRP; Advanced NRP also required
- Minimum 1 year of NICU nursing experience
- Level IV NICU experience required
- Level I Trauma hospital experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Responsible for assuming care of an assigned group of neonatal patients, including monitoring physiological data and intervening as necessary
- Administers medications, initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products, and assists physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders
- Engages with patients' families to communicate care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge information
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation is required before becoming eligible for another contract
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon booking
- Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliant travelers
