Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN for a 13-week travel contract requiring Level IV NICU experience and the ability to float throughout the children's units.
Details
- Work setting is a hospital-based Neonatal ICU (Level IV)
- Day shift schedule: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- Required to float throughout all children's units
- Level I Trauma Hospital and Level IV NICU experience required for this assignment
Requirements
- Active RN license (Oklahoma state or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS and NRP (both from the American Heart Association only)
- Minimum 1 year of NICU nursing experience required
- Level IV NICU experience required
- Level I Trauma Hospital experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Full Date of Birth (DOB) and full SSN required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include monitoring physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, documenting patient responses, and coordinating care with physicians and support staff
- Candidate must interact with patients and families to communicate care plans and hospital procedures
- Advanced NRP is preferred
- BSN is preferred
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend once, for a total of 26 weeks; after 26 weeks, a 6-month separation period is required before being eligible for another contract
- Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon accepting an offer
