Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position requiring Level IV NICU experience and the ability to float throughout the children's units.
Details
- Neonatal ICU (NICU) setting within a Level I Trauma hospital
- Level IV NICU patient population
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
- 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
- Floating required throughout all children's units
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license (standard Oklahoma or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications required (AHA only): BLS and NRP
- Minimum 1 year of NICU experience
- Level IV NICU experience required
- Level I Trauma hospital experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
Additional Information
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of neonatal patients, monitoring physiological data and intervening as necessary
- Administers medications, manages IV infusions and blood products, and assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and communicates care plans with patients and families
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- Workers who have previously completed a contract at this facility must have a 6-month separation before being eligible to apply again
- Compliance onboarding (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon booking — compliance deadlines are strictly enforced
