Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Med-Surg unit position requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and a rotating 36/48 night shift schedule.

Details

• MS/Tele unit serving short-stay, medical-surgical, telemetry, and observation patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6 or 1:7 (ratios may fluctuate with census)
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7:30a on a rotating 36/48 schedule (3x12 one week, 4x12 the next)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Requirements

• Active KY state or compact RN license currently in hand — no exceptions
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Tele or Tele RN experience required
• Driver's license with permanent address matching on file required for consideration
• Two professional references required: at least one charge nurse or higher, and one supervisor — both completed within the last year
• Middle name required; confirmation needed if none exists

Additional Information

• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Travelers who have worked within the ARH system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; RTO must be submitted upfront and no changes will be accepted
• Must be willing and able to work either a major or minor holiday each holiday period
• Orientation is conducted on a bi-weekly cycle
• Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis, but pairs will not be placed on the same shift or unit
• Any license or background check issues must be disclosed upfront
