Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel assignment requiring hands-on General NM experience and proficiency with Siemens imaging equipment.
Details
- Day shift, 5x8 hours from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with possible slight schedule variation based on patient scheduling
- Nuclear Medicine department setting within an acute care hospital
- Patient care focus on General NM routine studies including bone, gastric, hepatobiliary, and renal scans
- Technologists with PET/CT training may rotate through the PET department
- Equipment includes Siemens Symbia, Intevo SPECT/CT, and Biograph MCT Flow PET/CT cameras
- On-call is required once every 9 weeks; weekday call involves staying late only if a late patient is scheduled, typically concluding by 6:00 PM
- Weekend call coverage runs 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM for cases such as GI bleeds, bio-leaks, VQs, and brain death studies
Requirements
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience required
- BLS certification required
- PET/CT experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach required
- 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years required for consideration
- State license required if applicable
Additional Information
- Provide patient care for a full range of routine General NM studies; PET/CT-trained technologists may have additional rotation opportunities in the PET department
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission, as no RTO will be approved after submission
- Candidates whose permanent residence is within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
