Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with a minimum of 1 year of sonography experience for a 13-week hospital-based travel assignment in Arkansas.

Details

• Hospital-based ultrasound/sonography department
• Exams performed across multiple areas including the main department, surgery, emergency department, and patient floors
• 4x10 hour night shifts, 11:30 PM – 10:00 AM, Tuesday through Friday
• On-call rotation required with a 30-minute response time

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography program
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Sonographer
• ARDMS or ARRT certification required
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Active Arkansas Radiology license in good standing required (license required if applicable)
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years required for consideration
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 100 lbs with proper body mechanics
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, and twist for extended periods
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and handle high-stress situations with composure
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

Additional Information

• Perform sonography exams across the department, surgical suites, emergency department, and inpatient floors
• This position is designated safety sensitive under Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana
• The facility conducts its own on-site drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana — a positive result is an automatic cancellation with no exceptions
• Candidates should avoid any substances that could result in a positive drug screen prior to and upon arrival, including CBD products
• Original transcripts and Arkansas Department of Health verification are required for primary source verification
