Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring ACLS, BLS, and CPI certifications, with night shift availability and a valid NC or compact RN license.

Details

• 42-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes cardiac, diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal, general surgery, and orthopedics
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• May care for IMCU patients based on census needs
• Proficiency required with insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekends and holidays required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to like or lesser acuity units as needed

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and CPI
• Prior Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Proficiency with insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Unit team consists of RNs, LPNs, PCTs, CNA/US, and unit secretaries
• Candidates will be reviewed and interviewed by the unit manager
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application to be honored
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted for this position
• 13-week contract
