Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a 13-week travel contract in Lakeway, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and active TX licensure.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab setting located in Lakeway, TX
• Procedures include arteriograms/catheterizations, permanent pacemaker implantations, diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral procedures, and thrombolytic therapy
• IR and EP experience is a plus
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Call required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience
• Associate's degree required
• Active TX-MRT license required (license required if applicable)
• ARRT-R or RCIS certification required
• BLS (AHA only) and ACLS (AHA only) required
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• DOB and SSN required for consideration
• Flu shot required; no exemptions granted
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include scrubbing in to assist physicians, monitoring patient ECG and vital signs, performing pre- and post-procedure care, and transporting patients to and from the procedural area
• Maintains sterile fields, circulates in procedure rooms, and collects procedural data
• Records and calculates catheterization data including gradients, LV grams, cardiac outputs, and peripheral stenosis
• Follows national and state radiation protection regulations for patients, self, and staff
• Manages procedure room supply inventory and ensures equipment is safe for use
• Navy scrubs required
