Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Radiology Technologist for a 13-week night shift assignment at a Level II trauma acute care hospital, with C-arm and OR experience required.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with 14 imaging rooms and scanners across the inpatient hospital and an attached clinic
• Level II trauma center serving as a regional referral center
• Imaging studies include a full range of exams including trauma, portables, and OR cases
• C-arm procedures and OR coverage are a regular part of this role
• Float coverage between the inpatient hospital and attached clinic
• Night shift schedule following a 7-on/7-off rotation, with start times of either 8:30 PM–6:30 AM or 9:00 PM–7:00 AM
• 12-hour shifts alternating between 30-hour and 40-hour weeks
• Weekends and holidays fall within the standard 7-on rotation
• Overnight shifts are staffed with 2 technologists
• Charting via Cerner (transitioning to Epic); Siemens PACS used for imaging
• FUJI equipment used in rooms and for portables

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist
• Hospital-based experience required; clinic-only background is not sufficient
• C-arm experience required, along with the ability to function in an OR setting
• Active ARRT certification required
• Active BLS (AHA) certification required
• WI license required if applicable
• 2 professional references required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference from within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years of relevant experience

Additional Information

• Perform a full range of radiologic exams including trauma imaging, portable studies, and OR cases at a Level II trauma and regional referral center
• No radiologist on-site overnight; a night reading service is available for remote consultation
• No charge nurse or lead tech on-site during night shifts
• Department orientation consists of 1–2 shifts
• OR scrubs are available for night shift staff due to potential OR call-ins
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Duo traveler pairs are accepted
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their consideration date
• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local, which affects the applicable pay rate
