Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment on night shift in an acute-care hospital's Respiratory Therapy department.

Details

• 266-bed acute-care hospital with 24/7 emergency services
• Respiratory Therapy unit rotating through all inpatient units including two 10-bed ICUs
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Minimum of three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends
• Uses Puritan Bennet 980 ventilators, Vapotherm, Phillips V60+, Seimens EPOC bedside ABG analyzers, and Bipaps
• Documentation via Meditech
• Performs aerosol treatments, Bipap management, and ventilator management

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• License required if applicable
• Critical care and emergency care experience required, including ICU and ER
• Level 2 NICU/peds experience within scope
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Join a Respiratory Therapy team of 30 colleagues with varying levels of experience
• RTs work at the top of their license performing tasks such as intubation, arterial line insertion, and bedside bronchoscopy assist
• Participate in daily interdisciplinary nursing unit rounding
• Scrubs required as uniform
• Use of AIDET for patient experience
• 50-mile radius rule applies; no local candidates accepted
