Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of OR experience with Epic proficiency and strong cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular specialization.

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Strong cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular surgical case experience required
• Epic EMR — experience required
• On-call may be required
• Weekend requirement: 1 in 3
• Rotating holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience required
• Current BLS and/or applicable certifications required — must be issued by AHA or RQI
• Epic EMR experience required
• Valid US Social Security Number required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Flu vaccine required — only medical exemptions (signed by a licensed professional) are accepted; personal and religious declinations will not be accepted

• Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible for this position: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration
• No blocked scheduling
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week contract period may result in termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Travel pairs are not accepted for this position
