Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience in pediatric, NICU, and adult ER and critical care settings for a night shift travel assignment.
Details
- 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Serves pediatric, NICU, and adult critical care and emergency room patient populations
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Requirements
- Active RRT license required (no pending licenses accepted); license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a US hospital setting, specifically in pediatrics, NICU, and adult ER and critical care
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- CPI certification required
- US Social Security Number required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
Additional Information
- Administer respiratory care per physician prescription, including diagnostic evaluation, management, patient education, and rehabilitation
- Responsibilities include obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, and performing cardiopulmonary tests and studies
- Apply and monitor medical gases, environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, and bronchopulmonary hygiene
- Administer pharmacological agents related to respiratory care and support cardiopulmonary rehab and hemodynamic cardiovascular care
- All certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Practice spans all care sites, utilizing treatment protocols and technology across patient populations
