Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU experience for a night shift travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Fredericksburg, VA.

Details

• Work in the Respiratory Therapy department of a 140-bed acute care hospital in Fredericksburg, VA
• Patient population includes adults and neonates (NICU)
• Equipment used includes Hamilton C1, V60, and Hamilton MR1 ventilators
• Procedures include CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, and mechanical ventilation via Hamilton C1
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Schedule includes every other weekend
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RRT credential required; license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of general respiratory therapy experience, with active experience within the last 6 months
• NICU experience required
• BLS and ACLS required (AHA or ARC accepted); certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date
• NRP required for all RT staff caring for neonates
• ACLS required for Respiratory Therapists
• NRP preferred but can be obtained after hire
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required if candidate is from Florida or Missouri)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services to adult and neonatal patients, including mechanical ventilation management and advanced airway support
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• All black scrubs required
• Local candidates are not accepted; a 50-mile radius rule applies with no exceptions
