Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Washington, DC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and an active DC RN license.

Details

  • Fast-paced Emergency Department setting treating a diverse patient population including urgent care, psychiatric, pediatric, and critical care/trauma patients
  • Critical care skills utilized include medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood products, and chest tube management
  • Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts per week
  • 36 hours per week

Requirements

  • Active DC RN license required (no pending licenses)
  • Required certifications (AHA-issued only): BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS
  • CPI certification required for this position
  • Minimum 2 years of ED experience in a US hospital required
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
  • BSN highly desired
  • Travel nursing experience preferred
  • Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months (at least one from most recent employer)
  • Valid US Social Security Number required
  • Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Coordinates and delivers care to patients with complex nursing needs with a focus on safety, quality, and positive patient experience
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • Travel experience is preferred but not required
