Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a high-acuity Step Down Unit position in New Jersey, requiring at least 1 year of ICU experience and an active NJ RN license.

Details

• High-acuity step down unit in a hospital setting
• PM shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week (48 hours per week)
• 13-week contract
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license (or compact license) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform thorough, systematic patient assessments across the care continuum from pediatric to geriatric populations
• Provide direct patient care with demonstrated competency in clinical skills and emergency equipment and procedures
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in Epic, including nursing process components and patient education
• Uphold patient safety standards including National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocol
• Travelers who have been on assignment with this health system for one calendar year must take a 30–60 day break before returning to a new assignment
