Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week acute care assignment using Cerner EMR.
Details
- Acute care hospital radiology department with 2 imaging rooms/scanners
- Common imaging studies include brain, MRCP, abdominal, pelvis, and extremity X-rays
- Average of 100 scans/studies per day
- Uses GE and Toshiba equipment; PACS systems include Radnet and Merge Unity
- Charting performed in Cerner EMR
- 8-hour day shifts, every other weekend
- Holiday coverage required for 1 major and 1 minor holiday
- Rotating call requirement with a 30-minute response time
- May be required to float to a sister facility approximately 6.5 miles away
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of X-Ray/Radiology Technologist experience
- Active ARRT certification required; pending certifications not accepted
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable; pending licenses not accepted
- Experience with GE and/or Toshiba imaging equipment preferred
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR and PACS systems (Radnet, Merge Unity) beneficial
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Orientation of at least one week, conducted by the lead technologist
- In-house radiologist on staff; no RRAs used in this department
- IV starts are not required for this position
- Teal scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
- Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates placed PRN through outside firms will be considered
