Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 3-room inpatient/outpatient/ER unit, requiring 2+ years of experience and proficiency in cardiac, bone scan, and other nuclear medicine procedures.
Details
- 3-room Nuclear Medicine unit serving inpatient, outpatient, and ER patients
- Caseload of 13–15 patients per day
- Required procedures include cardiac studies, bone scans, liver/spleen scans, lung scans, thyroid studies, tumor localization, and myocardial imaging
- Preferred procedure experience includes brain scans, renal flow, and SPECT
- Siemens equipment preferred
- Cerner EMR; experience required
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with hours subject to variation based on workload
- Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility is required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
- Current BLS certification (AHA and RQI accepted)
- ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification required
- Active IN or Compact state license required if applicable
- Proficiency with IV starts and PACS
- Cerner EMR experience required
- 2 supervisor references required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Indiana residents are considered local candidates and may be accepted at a modified pay package
- Any former permanent or PRN employee of this facility must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
- Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within this health system must take a consecutive break before resetting eligibility — out-of-state residents require a 90-day break and in-state residents require a 180-day break, effective 2/24/26
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
