Description
American Traveler is hiring a Neuro Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience including neuro IR experience, ARRT certification, and Ohio state licensure.
Details
- Work in a high-volume Interventional Radiology department performing over 20,000 procedures annually
- Neuro IR procedures include cerebral angiography, carotid angiography, angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, vertebroplasty, spinal arteriography, and discogram
- Oncology procedures include biopsies of various organs, chemo embolizations, and Y-90 radiopharmaceutical therapies
- Additional procedures include uterine artery embolizations, venous lysis of tumors, vertebroplasties, infusion pump placements/revisions, radiofrequency ablations, and peripheral vascular interventions
- Equipment includes angiographic fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and CT (diagnostic and interventional)
- Responsible for managing a lab inventory of 1,500+ products
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM; may rotate to 5x8 schedule on alternating holidays
- On-call is assigned with both weeknight and weekend rotation requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology with neuro IR experience required
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program
- Current ARRT registration required
- Ohio Radiologic License (ODH) required; pending license accepted
- Current BLS and ACLS required
- Knowledge of anatomy, radiographic exposure, positioning, physics, radiation protection, and medical terminology
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Serve as scrub assistant to the Neuro Interventional Radiologist during invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Assist with neuro-interventional surgical procedures including cerebral aneurysm coilings, arteriovenous malformations, and stroke interventions
- Must be willing to assist in training permanent staff
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
