Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down Unit position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and the ability to work a rotating 36/48-hour weekly schedule on nights.

Details

• Step-Down Unit in a regional medical center setting
• Night shift schedule rotating between 3x12-hour shifts (7p–7:30a) one week and 4x12-hour shifts the following week, resulting in an 84-hour biweekly schedule
• Must be willing and able to consistently work the rotating 36/48-hour weekly schedule for the duration of the assignment

Requirements

• Active KY or Compact RN license currently in hand — no exceptions
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Driver's license required; address must match permanent address
• Two professional references required: at least one Charge Nurse or higher, and one supervisor reference, both completed within the last year

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; all RTO must be submitted upfront and no changes will be accepted after submission
• Holiday coverage is required — must work at least one major or one minor holiday per contract
• Travelers who have worked within the health system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
• Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis; paired travelers will not be placed on the same shift or unit
